20 Year Wedding Anniversary in Jan. Where to go
My wife and I are hitting our 20th anniversary in early January and are trying to figure out where to travel.
Places that are not on the list:
Vegas
Mexico – been to Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, etc. already
Hawaii is obviously a possibility but we’ve been to Maui, Kauai, the Big Island, and Oahu so there would be little there that is new to us.
She does not want to fly hours and hours so going to the Caribbean is out.
Going skiing somehwere is out.
Where would you suggest given these constraints?

go to egypt, every person who have been there for their honeymoon said its the best, especially for honeymoons!!!

you don’t say where in the u.s. you live but what about canada? its a short flight and they have some spectacular places to visit.
montreal and quebec city are filled with history and have lots of gorgeous places to stay
toronto if you are a fast-paced kinda couple! canada’s answer to the ‘big apple’
either the east or the west coast – both absolutely stunning and filled with lots of places to visit and things to do. if it were summer i would say the east coast but for a winter celebration i would suggest the west coast. you could tour the lower mainland and take the ferry over to the island – that’s what we did for our honeymoon! we had a great time and are so looking forward to going back again next year!
canadians are very friendly people and you would get good value for your dollar!
if you go to the west coast, take the ferry over to the island and spend a night at the bedford inn in victoria, quaint little place with very cool rooms and excellent service ~ have dinner at a little place called pagliacci’s, awesome pasta! – have fun wherever you go and happy anniversary!

My husband’s dream was to go on safari, so we went to Tanzania in 2007. It was extraordinary. We used based in Torrance, CA. They put together a phenomenal tour for us, and everything was first class. Congrats on your anniversary!

20 years… wow! Congratulations and best of blessings to you both.
The traditional gift for the 20th anniversary is China… so it might be cute to go to Chinatown! The largest and oldest Chinatown is in San Fransisco… you can get a look at the attractions here:
But judging from the places you’ve been already, it seems like you two enjoy the calm, warm, paradise-type escapes (not so much city). So I would recommend Kissimmee, Florida. It’s not Hawaii, but it’s a sweet little destination near Orlando. Info here:

Have you been to Lanai? It is an island you don’t show listed above. It is a Luxury island, but they are offering fabulous deals since business is down. The have two Four Seasons Properties with super discounted prices.
It is a very relaxed atmosphere, not many kids, etc.
