Thank you for giving reason for more HAOLES like you to not come here. You mock our heritage, i would love to know where your from, and then nit pick. You should come back and make one youtube video of yourself catching cracks from the locals.

That’s why I only travel to Oahu because I expcet that place to be busy. I’ll be heading there next weekend and I like to stay right in the heart of Waikiki. Busy doesn’t bother me because when I’m relaxing in Hawaii I don’t bother driving.

Haoles Ruin everything. The worst kind of Haole is the ones who move here and tell the locals “don’t you dare call me haole, I have every right to be here. Then two years down the line they think they local and turn around tell other haoles and even some actual locals to get off “THEIR” land. So dumb

drew: Your are obviously the moron. Have you really been there? The traffic is awful. The video is accurate. 2 hours from Princeville to Poipu is no joke. They keep building condos, but no roads. It is beautiful, but they need to learn to just say no or Kauai will end up looking like Honolulu — what a disaster that will be. It’s not all about you, Drew.

pretty funny bra! sounds like another person that moved there-”discovered it” and now wants to close it to others joining him.
You see this on Maui, Kauai a lot. Mainlanders “find” the islands and then realize they should be the only ones to enjoy it. The Sierra Clubbers are historically the worst…close it! So I can enjoy it!
This attitude is what killed the super ferry and destined our islands to only air travel for another 30 years.

No matter which island you visit, please, please, do not take a helicopter ride. They are abusing the locals by flying directly over their residences at low altitudes from sunup to sunset.

the thing is, where would the islands economy be without development??? what jobs would there be? I spoke with locals who worked at the hotel and little stores and they are praying for more visitors. they say its super expensive to live and they need more people spending money there.

I just got back as well and have to say that I did not experience any of the traffic they spoke of. i rode a bike all the way down the beach path from the kauai sands hotel and there was barely anyone on the beach. it took me only 20-30 minutes to get to prncvlle. without tourism there is no economy buddy. believe me i dont like the littering that comes with tourism, however I have complete respect for the island and embraced my time there. i understand the concern of overdevelopment too.

anyone who thinks colonialism isnt an on going project in Hawaii just needs to view some of the comments attached to this video. Let this be a wake up call for all the people of Hawaiian descent to understand the situation and predicament of American occupation. time to reorganize our lives to resist the ongoing infiltration of American values, interests and abuse. Time to understand tourist as uninvited destructive pests who no nothing of the history, context and situation that is Kauai.

Dont worry my man, another huricane will blow thru and level all those eyesores. I visited that incredible island when it was pristine. Im sorry that people dont understand what you lost. you have to live some place for a long time to see how over- development destroys it.

Point made….. Too many visitors love it here, then move here and try to change Kaua’i to what their idea of what Hawai’i should be like. The person who did tis video is pissed off, yes. But not at Kaua’i for what it is. Pissed off because off what Kaua’i had become.

Do not listen to this video please, you will love it in Kauai!!

I just came back from Kauai last week and can tell you that there is a lot of traffic during rush hour. However, the traffic isn’t that bad during non-rush hour times. I was discouraged by this video, but now, am 100% glad that I went. ALL of the local people that I encountered were VERY nice, helpful and friendly. I’d say that maybe 5% of my trip was like the footage in this video although NEVER as crowded as shown. The other 95% was pure, unspoiled beauty!!! Travel with confidence!!!
