Are you really going to spend so much time outdoors on your honeymoon?

I know a few people who’ve done the Disney honeymoon. Check out this for more info:

I think 2 weeks in Orlando is excessive. My friends actually did a Disney honeymoon where they went on a Disney cruise for a week and then went to the parks for a few days. Maybe you could do that?

My husband and I had the WORST honeymoon ever. We spent a week on Kauai. There are very few swim-able beaches there and when we asked about purchasing authentic Hawaiian shirts, we were told to go to Walmart! My husband had things stolen from him. The boat tour of the Na Pali coast was a bust (an engine died on the boat we went on and we had to wait for another boat). We chartered a fishing trip and not even the guide could get a nibble (if we had known this we wouldn’t hae wasted our money)! Everywhere we ate was sub-par at best. The most Hawaiian food I ate was a cheese burger with a slice of pineapple. Every corner had a Taco Bell. It was not what we expected and we will NEVER go back t Hawaii. I would suggest anywhere EXCEPT Kauai!

I would be more likely to suggest a Caribbean destination for a honeymoon, if you like the beach. Also, according to The Knot, Mexico is the hot honeymoon location right now! Look into the Mayan Riviera for a nice location.

Looking back on it, my husband and I would’ve been happier repeating our first vacation together in Disney World. To make up for such a horrible honeymoon, we’re taking weekend trips while we still have good weather!
