What is the best location to stay at in kauai, south shore; for the most sun?

Yes, but rent a car and see the north shore. It’s beautiful and has sail boat tours.

Poipu is really nice. Princeville is nice too but I think it’s a little pricier.

I would not recommend the Island of Kauai because the locals are very unfriendly to tourists. The people on Maui are much nicer and more hospitable. Both islands look similar. If you would consider Maui, the beaches in Wailea and Kihei are the nicest.

Poipu has the most sun, water activities and cheaper hotels, but the Na Pali coastline is breathtaking if you stay or visit Princeville. They use a red Hummer for their emergency vehicle.

We loved the Sheraton Kauai at Poipu. Very nice. I agree with Sunnymoon, some of the locals are very rude to the people bringing the income to their island.
